Flowers

I have a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of flowers especially roses and plumeria. It should come as no surprise that raising both is another hobby of mine and that capturing their beauty with my photographic hobby doubles the reward. Now if I can just find a way to capture the wonderful smells!

Travel

There are so many great places to visit in the US and the world and photography allows you to remember them and share them with others.  You can also check out my travels on Travellerspoint.

Fractals

Fractals are abstract mathematical images created by numerical repetition.

Night Photography

Night photography represents the extreme in photographic lighting. It involves long exposures, wide apertures, high ISO setting, and the use of flash. In spite of the considerable challenges, the results can be spectacular.

Stereographics

Stereographics takes advantage of natural stereo vision to create the sensation in the brain of depth in a flat medium. It is one of many clues the brain uses to interpret 3D space. There are several ways of viewing stereographics but these images are all "cross eyed" stereo. Click here for viewing instructions.

Monuments & Memorials

Monuments and Memorials capture the remembrances of people and events of significance. They also provide a physical connection to past history.

Digital Art

The digital age of photography provides many options to electronically process digital images. The resulting digital art can then sometimes take on the appearance of a fine painting.
Picture

Abstracts

Photography doesn't have to exactly capture realistic images. It can also produce very attractive abstract art.

Animals, Dogs, & Insects

Living creatures offer a wide variety of interesting subjects for photography.  They require good planning and fast reactions to get just the right look.

American Spirit

The American spirit is an abstract idea that none the less creates very real feelings in Americans. The photographers job is to capture that abstract spirit in a visual image.
